President Chin Hosts a Dinner for Alumni and Eminent Community Leaders
 
On 13 August, President Prof. Roland Chin hosted a dinner at his residence, Shiu Pong Hall, for alumni and eminent community leaders. Attending guests included Ms. Karen Chan, Executive Director and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development of German Pool Group Company Limited and her spouse Mr. Ken Fung, Executive Director and Vice President of Sales and Operations of German Pool Group Company Limited; Mr. David Costello, Consul General of Ireland to Hong Kong and Macao and his spouse Mrs. Maria Costello; Ms. Phyllis Marwah, Co-founder and Director of Mother’s Choice; Ms. Alia Eyres, CEO of Mother’s Choice; Mr. Duncan Pescod, Chief Executive Officer of The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and his spouse Mrs. Sandy Pescod; Dr. Carrie Willis, Chairman of the Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals and alumnus Thomas Huang (Applied Economics), Business Developer of Agorize.

At the dinner, President Chin shared with the guests the development of HKBU and guests were keen on exchanging views on various topics. Guests were also presented a health soup pack and a herbal tea pack from HKBU-Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre as souvenir.

Prior to the dinner, some guests also joined a campus tour visiting the Academy of Visual Arts and School of Chinese Medicine. They were warmly received by Prof. Louis Nixon, Director of the Academy of Visual Arts and Prof. Li Min, Acting Dean of School of Chinese Medicine.
