HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association - Alumni Join 2018 Asia Rowing Cup II in Korea

2018 Asian Rowing Junior Championships & Cup II was held in Chungju, Korea from 26 to 30 June. Alumnus Lo Ting Wai (Sport & Recreation Leadership), the awardee of the Outstanding Home Coach presented by Hong Kong, China Rowing Association, was one of the coaches from the Hong Kong Rowing Team to lead a group of young participants to join this event. Alumni Ng Nga-yi (Sport and Recreation Studies) and Lin Cheuk-ngai (Computer Science) also took part in the race. Such valuable experience helped them prepare to conquer challenges ahead in their rowing life.

The Physics Alumni Association of HKBU Holds Annual General Meeting

On 23 June, the Physics Alumni Association of HKBU held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum sports event in which around 20 alumni, students and guests participated and celebrated the anniversary. After the meeting, the participants had a table tennis game and enjoyed a joyful evening.

HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association Organises Three Sharing Sessions

HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association organised three sharing sessions in June. The first session was a tea gathering held on 25 June, with alumna Hai Ming shared and tasted four kinds of green tea from Shandong, Yunnan and Guangdong, with participants. The second session “Human Resources and Startup Recruitment” was held on 27 June. Secretary-General of the Association alumna Sandy Xiao acted as the speaker to share experience on human resources management and staff recruitment for startup companies. The third one was held on 29 June in which alumna Mai Danxiong and guest speaker Ms. Huang Wei shared skills on body management and how to tone one’s body with yoga under suboptimal health condition.

MBA Alumni United Football Team of HKBU Participates in the Southern China Universities Football League

MBA Alumni United Football Team of HKBU won the “Best Organisation Award” and the “Sportsmanship Award” from the year-round Southern China Universities Football League in June. Comprised of MBA alumni from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jiangsu, Zhuhai and Shunde, it was the first time for the football team to take part in the league with an aim to strengthening ties with the business schools in the Southern China region. The team also hoped to seek talented players for the Alumni Soccer Seven which will be held at HKBU on 24 November.

HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association Participates in the 24th South China MBA Alliance Summit

On 14-15 July, HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association participated in the 24th South China MBA Alliance Summit held at Guilin University of Technology. The Summit served as a platform for members of the Alliance to exchange ideas and share knowledge on a wide range of issues. Alumnus Jacky Fan represented HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association to share the development of the Association with other participants.
 

University representatives from Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan participate in the 24th South China MBA Alliance Summit.
