Recent Activities of HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA)

HKBUAA Sponsors HKBU Wine Association to Compete in Wine Tasting Contest in France Jointly sponsored by HKBUAA and the University, two final year students, namely Ng Yi-lam Karla (Government & International Studies, Year 4) and Wong Hong-man Liz (English Language & Literature & English Language Teaching, Year 5) as well as alumnus Tin Yi-kui Felix (Government & International Studies) were invited by The Coupe Ès-SENS Ferrières on behalf of the HKBU Wine Association to compete in wine knowledge, blind tasting as well as wine and food pairings against 13 international schools, including the likes of EMLyon Business School, ETH Zürich, Cambridge and Oxford, on 13-14 May this year at the Château Ferrières in France. The HKBU Wine Association team won 2nd runner up title in the Hong Kong preliminary round of the Left Bank Bordeaux Cup held in January this year. HKBUAA Organises Golf Gathering at Kau Sai Chau South Course On 15 June, HKBUAA organised a golf gathering at Kau Sai Chau South course. 12 alumni joined the gathering and enjoyed a beautiful golf day in Sai Kung. Alumni pose for a group photo after the golf game.

HKBUAA Organises “Back to the 80’s” Football Match HKBUAA organised a football match for Economics and History/Geography alumni graduated in the 1980s at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Park on 20 June. The match was a reunion for players who played the game 38 years ago. All participants had a great time playing football with their old buddies again.    Economics and History/Geography alumni graduated in the 1980s reunited on the football pitch.     Alumni pose for a group photo at the dinner after the football match.
