Bronze Mirrors Exhibition Showcases Unique Collection of Alumnus Prof. Mark Kai-keung
 
Featuring 35 mirrors donated by alumnus Prof. Mark Kai-keung (Mathematics and Science), the “Universe within Inches: Bronze Mirrors” exhibition is held from August to September. In this collection, the earliest mirrors can be traced back to the Warring States and Western Han periods, and the majority of them are from the Song-to-Qing period.

Dr. Sammy Li Kin-sum, Assistant Professor of Department of History of HKBU, is a guest curator of this exhibition on Chinese and Japanese bronze mirrors. He not only advised the Art Museum to accession the donated mirrors and designed the theme, he also authored a volume titled “Universe within Inches: Bronze Mirrors Donated by Professor MARK Kai-Keung” to commemorate this exhibition.

Venue: Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Opening Hours: Mondays to Saturdays 10:00am - 5:00pm
Closed on Thursdays (Except Public Holidays)
Sundays and Public Holidays 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Remarks: Guided tour service is not available
