Visit to Academy of Visual Arts BA Graduation Exhibition 2013
The HKBU Alumni Association and HKBU School of Business Alumni Association participated in a guided tour to the Academy of Visual Arts BA (VA) Graduation Exhibition 2013. Alumni of VA led the participants to appreciate the artworks of the graduates and visited the flea market featuring unique handmade items by students and alumni of the Academy. Participants were impressed by the creativity of HKBU students. |

Mentoring Programme – Seminar on "What are the important competencies employers looking for?"
HKBU Alumni Association held a mentoring seminar on “What are the important competencies employers looking for?” on 22 June 2013. Mr. Francis Wong, General Manager-Human Resources of the Hospital Authority, Mr. Vincent Luk, General Manager-Human Resources of MTR Corporation and Ms. Rose Wai, People Management Consultant of Steve Lo People Resources Limited, were invited to share their insights on expectations of Hong Kong employers and the key to success in workplace.
The seminar was well attended by more than 60 alumni, students and friends. During the seminar, Mr. Francis Wong explained how employees should change their mindset in order to build a successful career, while Mr. Vincent Luk shared the tips of moving up one’s career ladder successfully. Ms. Rose Wai introduced common types of tests and selection methods used by employers during the recruitment process. |
