A Visit to Chungking Mansions
Nearly 30 alumni shared the fun of exploring the face-lifted Chungking Mansions on 7 July 2012. The tour was guided by Incorporated Owners Association’s Chairman Miss Lam Wai-lung, and secretary alumna Esther Wong who told the participants some “behind-the-scene” information on this interesting landmark in Hong Kong. Following the tour, the alumni had a delicious buffet at the Delhi Club, where the authentic Indian cuisine was served.
The event was concluded with a tea gathering at the nearby bookstore 1908, which was founded by three HKBU graduates. The founders shared with the alumni their mission and experience of operating the bookstore.

Joint-U Alumni Networking & Wine Tasting Evening
HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) jointly organised a networking and wine tasting evening with alumni associations of The University of Science and Technology and The Federation of Alumni Associations of the Chinese University of Hong Kong on 26 July 2012. The event was attended by 200 guests, comprising one-third of the HKBU alumni.
Participants enjoyed the mingling with their alumni as well as making new friends from the other two universities. Four different wines from both the old and new world were featured and tasted by the group. Ms. Jennifer Luk, a wine expert, gave an informative and comprehensive briefing on wine including grapes, regions and etiquette. Participants found the evening very relaxing and interesting.
