Business Alumni Share the Joy of Reunion at Shiu Pong Hall

A big reunion BBQ with a participation of over 50 alumni, students and academic staff from School of Business was held on 17 March 2014 at Shiu Pong Hall. Sharing the joy of reunion with alumni were President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan, Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu, Associate Vice-President and Acting Dean of School of Business Prof. Allan Chan, Head of Department of Accountancy and Law Prof. Lin Zhijun, Head of Department of Economics Prof. Woo Chi-keung, Head of Department of Finance and Decision Sciences Prof Gordon Tang and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee. The gathering was also graced with the presence of honourable guests including former Director of Institute for Enterprise Development Dr. Vivienne Luk, Chairman of School of Business Advisory Committee, Honorary University Fellow alumnus William Leung, BBS, JP and School of Business Alumni Association Honorary Advisor, Honorary University Fellow Mr. So Chung-ping.

The occasion provided a great platform for participants to mingle with old buddies and share University news and updates on their respective professions. President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan thanked the School of Business Alumni Association (SBAA) for organising “Gateway to Big 4 Seminar and Mock Interview” which helped students equip themselves with the necessary interview skills for jobs offered by the Big 4 accounting firms. He also encouraged alumni to keep the connection with HKBU.

To express gratitude to the University management, President of SBAA alumnus Bernard Wu presented bottles of red wine to President Chan and honourable guests.
