HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai Hosts the Second Roundtable Talk
On July 11, HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai (HKBUSHAA) organised its second roundtable talk, focusing on the theme of traditional Chinese medicine. The event aims to promote traditional Chinese medicine culture, helps alumni learn practical health tips for daily life, and relieve work-related stress. It attracted many alumni who are interested in health and wellness.
Three HKBU alumni with expertise in Chinese medicine were invited as speakers to share their professional insights and hands-on experience across different areas. Alumna Li Xuan (Chinese Medicine) presented on topic of Sjögren’s syndrome, offering dietary recommendations and acupressure techniques for home-based self-care. Alumnus Liu Jihui (Personal Health Management) introduced application of Chinese medicine in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Alumnus Sui Jiatian (Personal Health Management) shared first-hand experience in operating a Chinese medicine wellness centre and demonstrated Gua Sha techniques, providing valuable knowledge and hands-on guidance for alumni.

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia Hosts Winter Excursion
On 22 July, HKBU Alumni Association of Australia (HKBUAAA) organised a winter excursion in Sydney to strengthen connections among alumni and encourage exchanges. Alumni gathered to explore Sydney’s historical and cultural attractions, and savour delicious cuisine amidst the Australian winter. The event was filled with laughter and warmth, further deepening the bonds and sense of belonging among participants.
