HKBU conferred Honorary University Fellowships on four distinguished persons at the 20th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony on 25 September in recognition of their outstanding contributions to a wide variety of areas and their support of society. The four recipients are Professor the Hon Chan Wing-kwong, Mr Chui Wing-on, Ms Ho Yuen-kei and Ms So Ching.

The Ceremony was officiated by Dr the Hon Kennedy Y H Wong, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU, and Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU. In his address, President Wai said that the four Honorary University Fellowship recipients command great respect not only for their outstanding achievements, but also for their generous spirit and compassion to serve the community and those in need. They have excelled not only in their chosen paths but have also touched lives—mentoring young people, advancing professional standards, advocating for inclusivity, and shaping a better future for Hong Kong.

Ms Ho Yuen-kei delivered a Vote of Thanks on behalf of the Honorary University Fellows. She expressed their sincere thanks to the University for the great honour bestowed upon them. This Honorary University Fellowship was more than a personal accolade to them, but also a beacon of hope and a reminder that with faith, perseverance, and collective support, no barrier is insurmountable.
