Alumni Attend the Reception in Celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the Department of History

The Department of History hosted an evening reception on 18 August to celebrate its 45th Anniversary. The event brought together nearly 100 alumni, students, former and current faculty members and staff to bid farewell to retiring and departing colleagues, and welcome new faculty members.

To celebrate the Sapphire Anniversary of the Department, Professor Clara Ho Wing-chung, Head of the Department of History, and academic staff from the Department came together for a cake-cutting ceremony. Forty-five Years in Retrospect: A Collection of Pictures in Commemoration of the Sapphire Anniversary of the Department of History, Hong Kong Baptist University, a pictorial volume published by the Department, was also launched to commemorate the Department’s founding in 1978 and evolution over the decades.
