On 29 October, the “HKBU 65th Anniversary • ASHWORTH Golf Day 2021” was held at the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. Like previous years, alumni were keen on supporting the University’s annual Golf Day and formed a total of seven alumni teams to participate in the tournament while at the same time giving donations to the University in support of its development.

Platinum Sponsor

  • Alumnus Lau Pak-shing (Business Management)

Gold Sponsor

  • Alumnus So Wing-kin (Civil Engineering)

Silver Sponsors

  • Baptist Chemists
  • Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association (four teams)
  • Alumnus Professor William Leung (English Language & Literature)
  • Alumnus Alfred Tang (Accounting)

The alumni golfers spared no effort in their quest for glory. The champion of the Alumni Cup this year went to the Baptist Chemists Team again, while the first and second runners-up were captured by the Accounting Alumni Team and HKBUAA – Stars Team respectively.

Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association (HKBUAA) has been a staunch supporter of the HKBU Golf Day since 2011. A total of HK$127,000 has been raised during this year’s event in support of the University’s strategic development.

With the sponsorship of alumni Norman Wu (Business Management), William Yeung (History), Alex Leung (Business Management) and Tyrone Siu (History), HKBUAA sent a total of four alumni teams, with members across different faculties and generations, to participate in the Golf Day this year. HKBUAA would like to take this opportunity to extend its special thanks to the sponsors as well as alumnus Jason Mok (Chemistry), who has been strenuously providing support for the Association in organising various sports activities, including the HKBU Golf Day, for alumni.

President Wai (first from left) thanks HKBU Accounting Alumni for their long-standing support to the event and presents them a souvenir at the dinner cum prize presentation ceremony.
