Alumnus Dr Jacinto Tong (third from right), President of HKBUAA, takes a group photo with the University’s senior management.

More than 10 runners from the HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) participated in various categories at Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2026 on 18 January. The cohort delivered outstanding performances, with every runner achieving a personal best— a testament to their disciplined preparation and team spirit.

Alumnus Dr Jacinto Tong (Chemistry), member of the Council and the Court of HKBU and President of HKBUAA; and alumnus Prof Harrison Ho (Economics), Vice‑President of HKBUAA, attended the event to cheer on the participants, praising their dedication and enthusiasm. Their presence underscored HKBUAA’s staunch support for alumni wellbeing and community engagement.

Looking ahead, HKBUAA will strive to encourage more alumni to participate and will organise a team for events such as Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2027, building on this year’s momentum and achievements.
