Online Inauguration Ceremony for HKBU Class Representatives 2025-2026
Class Representatives make a hand gesture in the shape of a “C” to show their pledge of unity and support for the University.
On 24 March, the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) conducted an online inauguration ceremony for 2025-2026 Class Representatives, welcoming 82 newly appointed Class Representatives from various undergraduate programmes.
The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks by Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs, who congratulated the outstanding students on their appointments and expressed heartfelt appreciation for their commitment to serving as vital bridges between alumni and the University. The inauguration included an overview of the Class Representative Scheme and an introduction to upcoming AAO activities. To further engage participants and deepen their understanding of the Scheme and the HKBU alumni community, an interactive quiz game was conducted. As a token of recognition for their lifelong commitment, a Certificate of Appointment will be presented to each Class Representative.
Introduced in 2012, the HKBU Class Representative Scheme, initiated by the AAO, aims to strengthen engagement between alumni-to-be and their alma mater. Nearly 1,300 outstanding undergraduates have been appointed as Class Representatives over the years, committing to maintain close relationships between their graduating cohorts and the University.
