The HKBU Music Society Alumni Society (the Society) hosted a heartwarming Homecoming Event on 28 February at the Elizabeth Hung Wong Activity Room, located in the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity at HKBU. The gathering brought together nearly 100 alumni and distinguished guests, including Professor Ng Ching‑fai, President Emeritus of HKBU; Mrs Simmy Hung of the Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Limited; and Mr Choi Sown‑le, renowned pianist and Chairman of the Hong Kong Piano Music Association.

The Society curated an engaging programme featuring performances by alumni, as well as invited groups including the Kennedy City Chamber Orchestra; Hymn Group, Fu Kwong Club, Women Affairs Department of the Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association; and the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers Singing Group. A highlight of the event was the premiere of several original pieces composed by HKBU alumni, showcasing not only their remarkable talents but also their deep love of music – a testament to the creative spirit of the alumni community. Their inspiring musical performances filled the venue with warmth and harmony, captivating the full-house audience and immersing everyone in a delightful world of music.

This Homecoming Event not only celebrated musical excellence but also strengthened the bonds within the HKBU music community, creating lasting memories for all who attended.
