Faculty of Science Spring Gathering: Alumni Gather in Celebrating the Year of the Snake

The Faculty of Science organises its Spring Gathering with alumni to celebrate the Year of the Snake.
On 8 February, the Faculty of Science hosted a Spring Gathering on HKBU campus to celebrate the Year of the Snake. The event attracted over 230 alumni, staff, students, distinguished guests, family and friends of the Faculty.
The event was graced by the presence of senior management of the University including Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Martin Wong, Provost; Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cum Dean of Graduate School and Acting Dean of School of Chinese Medicine; Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer; and Professor Rick Wong, Senior Advisor to the President and Vice-Chancellor.
On behalf of the Faculty of Science, Professor Michael Ng, Dean of Science, extended a warm welcome to all participants in his welcoming remarks. He also shared the Faculty’s latest updates and achievements with the guests. Participants took the opportunity to mingle with each other while enjoying an enchanting lineup of performances, including traditional Chinese dance, lion dance and juggling acts.
Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs, also attended the Spring Gathering to connect and engage with alumni. Attending alumni had a great time and the gathering ended fruitfully with laughter and joy.
