Faculty of Science holds Spring Gathering with Alumni 2024.

The Faculty of Science hosted Spring Gathering with Alumni 2024 on HKBU campus on 9 March.

The event was graced by the presence of senior management of the University including Professor Martin Wong, Provost; Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Acting Dean of Arts; and Professor Liu Jiming, Associate Vice-President (Research Development); and guests including Professor Ng Ching-fai, President Emeritus of HKBU and former Dean of Science; Professor Rick Wong, former Provost of HKBU, and Dr Tong Chong-sze, former Associate Dean of Science. The event gathered over 130 alumni, staff, students, distinguished guests, family and friends of the Faculty to participate.

Professor Michael Ng, Dean of Science, took the opportunity to share the Faculty’s latest updates and recent accomplishments in his welcoming remarks. Prof Martin Wong also shared several milestones achieved by the University in his officiating address. All participants had a great opportunity to engage with one another to celebrate the traditional festive season while enjoying the captivating lion dance performance. The Faculty’s Mentorship Programme Certificate Presentation Ceremony was also conducted during the event.

Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs, also attended the Spring Gathering to meet and greet with attending alumni. The event was full of joy and left participants with cherished memories.

All the attendees share the joy of celebration of the Year of the Dragon and pose for a group photo to capture the precious moment.
