Recent Activities of HKBU Century Club
HKBU Century Club Presents Fundraising Concert
On 22 April, HKBU Century Club (The Club) organised a fundraising concert at the University Chapel to celebrate the Club’s 50th Anniversary and commemorate the 70th Anniversary of both HKBU and its Chaplain’s Office. The concert aimed to foster community connections through music, while also raising funds for the “HKBU Century Club 70th Anniversary Dr Daniel Tse Scholarship Fund” and the development of the Chaplain’s Office’s ministry.
The concert featured works composed and arranged by alumnus Dr Mui Kwong-chiu (Communication), who served as Honorary Music Director. His musical pieces were performed by a number of renowned musicians, bringing his compositions to life.
The event was graced by the presence of senior management, friends, alumni and students of HKBU including Professor Martin Wong, Provost; Dr Albert Chau, Vice‑President (Teaching and Learning); Professor Timothy Wong Man-kong, Director of Academy of Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy; Rev Dr Jack Yu, Chaplain and Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs; alumnus Wong Nga-chung (Business Administration), Honorary University Fellow and Patron of the Club; alumna Esther Wong (Geography; Social Work), Patron and President of the Club; alumna Dr Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), Patron and Past President/Ex-officio Director of the Club; alumna Yoki Chan (Secretarial Management), Vice-President cum Secretary of the Club; alumnus Ip Ka-po (Communication), Vice-President of the Club; Directors of the Club including alumni Samuel Lau (Economics), Jeanny Ng (Translation) and Dr Paul Yu (Communication).
