HKBU Alumni Association Supports the 7th Cohort of “Startup Saturday” Event
The 7th cohort of “Startup Saturday”, a campus-wide student entrepreneurship competition organised by the Career Centre of the HKBU Student Affairs Office, was successfully held on 18 April. With the support from HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA), the event attracted over 30 alumni, students and staffs to attend the final presentations.
Alumnus Cheung Ka-ho (BBA), Vice-President of HKBUAA, served as one of the judges for the final pitch. Among the seven shortlisted teams, four teams were awarded seed fund in recognition of their innovative business ideas and readiness. A networking session was held after the presentations, providing an opportunity for students and alumni to connect and exchange experiences.
HKBU Alumni Association Co-organises Company Visit in Shenzhen
HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) co-organised a company visit to EngineAI Robotics Technology Co. Ltd (EngineAI) in Shenzhen, together with the HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association, BNBU Alumni Association’s Shenzhen Chapter and Hong Kong Chapter, on 18 March. The visit attracted more than 60 alumni from diverse professional backgrounds.
Under the guidance of EngineAI’s staff, alumni visited the company’s robotics showroom and learned about its robotic products. Through live demonstrations and on-site exchanges, alumni gained insights into the latest developments, business applications and practical functions of the robots. During the sharing session, visiting alumni engaged in in-depth discussions with the EngineAI team about challenges facing their industries.
The visit not only enhanced alumni’s understanding of innovative technologies, but also strengthened their connections and expanded their professional networks.
