Alumna Ho Yuen-kei Awarded the 2022 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards

Alumna Ho Yuen-kei (China Studies), who won the individual gold medal at the Bahrain World Boccia Cup and rose to No. 1 in the Women’s BC3 individual world ranking last year, was awarded the “Cathay 2022 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards For Women” in April 2023. This is her first time winning the Award. Congratulations to alumna Ho!
Alumnus Lee Ka-yiu Runs the Third-Fastest in the History of the Men’s 110m Hurdles in Hong Kong

Alumnus Lee Ka-yiu (Physical Education and Recreation Management) recently competed in the Men’s 110m Hurdles in the Hong Kong Athletics Championships 2023 on 29 April, and he finished the race in 13.88s, marking the third fastest in local history. Congratulations to alumnus Lee!

In Memory of Alumnus Michael Choi

Alumnus Michael Choi
The University is deeply saddened by the passing of alumnus Michael Choi Ngai-min (Business Management) on 14 May.
Alumnus Choi served the real estate industry for over 40 years. He worked at Jones Lang LaSalle early in his career, and founded Land Power International Property Management Limited in 1986. Later on, he expanded his company’s business to the Mainland in 1990. Alumnus Choi joined Henderson (China) Investment Company Limited in 2013 as Director and Senior Vice President, managing sales and marketing of the business and purchase of land in Mainland China, until he retired in 2022.
Alumnus Choi was also active in public services especially in the area of real estate, taking up the position of member of the Long Term Housing Strategy Steering Committee of the HKSAR Government.
The University would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Choi family at this time of bereavement. Alumnus Choi will always be remembered for his distinguished contributions to the community.
