In Memory of Mr So Chung-ping
Mr So Chung-ping
The University is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr So Chung-Ping (Honorary University Fellow).
Mr So dedicated his life to serving the community, holding numerous public service roles, including serving as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association. His distinguished services to public service earned him widespread recognition. He received the government’s Community Service Award in both 1985 and 1986. In 2000, he was further honoured with the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service by the Government of the HKSAR, a testament to his dedication and civic spirit.
Mr So was also a staunch supporter of the University, particularly in developing Chinese medicine teaching and clinical services, to which he made invaluable contributions.
The University would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to the So family at this time of bereavement. Mr So will always be remembered for his wholehearted support for and contribution to the development of HKBU, and as a beloved and respected member of the HKBU community.
