校友近況
校友梅廣釗博士的作品將於香港城市中樂團的粵港澳大灣區巡演中展示

由香港作曲家聯會主席校友梅廣釗博士（傳理）創作，源自傳統名曲並以全新的現代技法編寫的《彩雲追月狂想曲》獲選為香港城市中樂團《香港當代民族管弦樂經典音樂作品粵港澳大灣區巡演》的表演曲目之一。校友梅博士於8月1日出席巡演的啟動儀式。是次巡演榮膺國家藝術基金2023年度傳播交流推廣專案資助，將於9月15日在香港揭開序幕，並將於大灣區不同的城市進行共4場音樂會，藉此傳播香港中樂作品的同時，亦促進粵港澳大灣區城市之間的音樂交流。
林漢源校友近日接受訪問分享其公司的最新發展
除了接受訪問，林漢源校友最近亦獲數碼港頒發2023數碼娛樂獎。
身為艾希妮網絡公關有限公司創辦人兼行政總裁，林漢源校友 (工商管理) 帶領公司為國際品牌提供跨境社群商務的方案，以協助他們進入龐大的中國 — 東盟市場。最近，林校友接受傳媒訪問，就他的公司以跨境電商方式與馬來西亞的平台合作，藉以透過馬來西亞打入其他東盟市場，分享他的見解，請按此參閱訪問內容。

梁以正校友獲頒香港大律師公會獎學金
梁以正校友
梁以正校友 (工商管理) 獲香港大律師公會頒發沈澄紀念獎學金。此獎學金是為紀念香港著名法官沈澄而設立的，旨在鼓勵更多法律從業員參加大律師執業資格試，成為大律師。恭喜梁校友！
深切悼念John Belew教授

The University is deeply saddened by the passing of Professor John Seymour Belew, the recipient of the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa from HKBU in 1995, on 9 August 2023. He was 102 years old. Professor Belew was a scholar, educator, academic administrator, and counsellor to many universities world-wide. A chemist by education and professional endeavour, Professor Belew has made notable contributions to the understanding and the international literature of organic reaction chemistry and, particularly, the formation, reactions and structures of the organic class of compounds known as ozonides. Professor Belew has spent his entire career in academia. Educated at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, he served his alma mater as a longtime chemistry professor well into the 2000s, The Jo Murphy Chair of International Education, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and later as provost, the University’s chief academic officer. He guided his institution into both a period of greater public recognition and of greater international collaborations with their network of universities in China, United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, France, Japan, Okinawa, Australia, Argentina, and several regions of the former Soviet Union. He was also a highly important participant in the creation of the international consortium which is a part of the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies of HKBU. The University community would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to Professor Belew’s family at this time of bereavement. He will always be remembered for his whole-hearted support for and contribution to the development of HKBU, and as a beloved and respected member of the HKBU community.
深切悼念鄭成業先生
鄭成業先生 (榮譽大學院士) 於近日辭世，大學仝人深表哀悼。
鄭先生是教育界的資深代表，退休前不僅分別擔任香港四邑商工總會黃棣珊紀念中學創校校長及香港培正中學校長長達16年及12年之久，亦曾任香港中文中學聯會主席及香港津貼中學議會司庫等公職，對教育界貢獻良多。
鄭先生亦與浸大淵源深厚，曾先後擔任校務議會、諮議會及校董會成員以及物業管理委員會主席等職務達20多年，對浸大的建設和成長貢獻不少心力。
對於鄭先生的離世，大學仝人深感哀痛，永遠懷念鄭先生對浸大以至社會的貢獻，謹此向其家人致以深切慰問。
