HKBU Century Club Scholarship 2022-23

In response to the initiative of HKBU Century Club to provide annual scholarships to HKBU students, alumni Dr Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), Patron and President of the Club; Kent Tsui (Communication), Past President/Ex-officio Director of the Club; Esther Wong (Geography; Social Work), Patron and Vice-President of the Club; Dr Helen Kwok (Communication), Secretary of the Club and Dr Paul Yu (Communication), Director of the Club jointly donated a total of HK$40,000 for setting up four scholarships in the academic year 2022-23. The scholarships aim to award academically outstanding students and support them in joining extra-curricular activities and overseas exchange programmes.
On 16 January, alumni Kent Tsui, Esther Wong and Dr Paul Yu had an online meeting with the scholarship recipients. During the meeting, they introduced to students the vision and mission of the Club and encouraged them to join the activities of the Club and make contribution to the University in the future. Students also shared their study journey at HKBU and how the scholarships could benefit them.
HKBU Century Club Organises Lantern Festival Gathering
HKBU Century Club organised a Lantern Festival gathering on 5 February, which was attended by a number of Century Club members, alumni and guests. They first enjoyed a dinner at Shing’s Kitchen, during which alumna Dr Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), Patron and President of the Club, took the opportunity to introduce the University and the Club to the guests and encouraged them to support the University’s development. All participants then enjoyed a Cantonese Opera show staged by Ming Chee Sing Chinese Opera Troupe at Sunbeam Theatre together to share the joy of Lantern Festival.
