Congratulations to the following alumni and friends of HKBU who were elected to the Eighth Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China as members. The term of office of the new legislature commenced on 1 January 2026.

  • Alumnus Professor Chan Wing-kwong (Chinese Medicine)
  • Alumna Rebecca Chan Hoi-yan (Journalism; Media Management)
  • Alumnus Dr Simon Lee Hoey (Government & International Studies)
  • Alumnus Kingsley Wong Kwok (China Studies – Economics)

 

Functional Constituency- Education

  • Alumnus Tang Fei (Education)

 

Functional Constituency- Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication

  • The Hon Kenneth Fok Kai-kong (Honorary University Fellow)
