HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai Holds Annual Gathering 2025

HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai (HKBUSHAA) successfully held its Annual Dinner on 29 November. The event was attended by over 70 alumni and guests. The event featured a talk by three distinguished industry experts from different industries, namely Ms Lin Lin, former senior consultant of McKinsey & Company; Mr Yang Tao, Senior Manager, Organisation and Talent Development of Ant Group; and Mr Wang Xiangdao, Vice Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Organisation in Xuhui District, Shanghai as well as Founder and CEO of MoSeeker. They shared their insights on artificial intelligence (AI) application trends, technological breakthroughs and practical cases of AI application across various industries. Participants exchanged ideas on industry developments, enjoyed a delightful dinner, reconnected with fellow alumni, and making it a memorable and inspiring evening.

HKBU Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area Holds Annual General Meeting cum 2025-2028 Executive Committee Election

HKBU Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area (HKBUGBAAA) held its Annual General Meeting cum 2025/2028 Executive Committee Election online on 7 December successfully.
Alumnus Dr Vincent Ho (Communication), Founding President of HKBUGBAAA, presented a report on HKBUGBAAA’s initiatives over the past two years, including organising multiple visits for members to well-known enterprises in the Greater Bay Area. HKBUGBAAA also actively engaged with and supported various University initiatives, keeping alumni informed about the latest developments.
The HKBUGBAAA serves as a dedicated platform for business exchange and collaboration among alumni working and living in the Greater Bay Area and current students, thereby fostering connectivity and resource sharing.
This meeting marks a new chapter for HKBUGBAAA, and the newly elected Executive Committee is dedicated to continuing its mission to unite alumni across the Greater Bay Area and shaping a shared future.

HKBU Alumni Association of Ontario Holds 2025 Annual Dinner cum 2026-2027 Committee Member Election

HKBU Alumni Association of Ontario (HKBUAAO) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum 2026-2027 Committee Member Election during its Annual Dinner in Markham, Ontario, on 16 November. Over 90 alumni and friends attended, including representatives from alumni associations of eight other Hong Kong higher education institutions.
Highlights of the evening included an engaging sharing with alumnus Darren Lau (Chinese Medicine), who shared his insights on the field of Chinese medicine. Another highlight was the charity lucky draw, with the support of alumni and friends, a total of CA$1,120 was raised, exceeding last year’s donation record. HKBUAAO would donate the full proceeds to the Food Bank, supporting the local community and those in need.
The reunion dinner brought alumni and guests together to enjoy a delectable meal, singing performances, and spending an enjoyable evening together. The event not only strengthened ties among longstanding alumni but also warmly welcomed new members into the association.
